Labour wins PFCC election!

I’m delighted that our excellent candidate, David Allen, has won the Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner election for Cumbria.

Thank you to everyone in Westmorland and Lonsdale who came out to vote for David and thank you to our wonderful volunteers who delivered leaflets across the patch. Every single vote counted in ensuring a Labour victory. This shows that when you vote Labour: you get Labour!

Across Westmorland and Furness, the Tories were beaten into third. We can do this again at the General Election, and get a Labour government into power.

I’m looking forward to working with David on his priorities throughout his tenure as PFCC, particularly eradicating violence against women and girls, which is close to my heart.
