Visit to Springfield

Thanks to Tori and Rachel from Springfield domestic violence support for welcoming me and David Allen, Labour’s candidate for Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner, in Kendal this week.

Springfield runs a domestic violence refuge in Kendal and has plans to open a specialist facility for male victims of violence in the near future.

Rachel is Cumbria’s only specialist Independent Stalking Advice Caseworker (ISAC), working closely with the police to protect victims of stalking and support them through the justice system.

David and I appreciated all the work you do to support domestic violence survivors and your constant focus on meeting the needs of the community.
